Up the ranks: Vic Sithasanan and Nicholas Lam appointed as Jobstreet’s new MDs in Singapore and Malaysia respectively

In their roles respectively, the newly-appointed MDs are to lead business growth and operations in Singapore and Malaysia.

Vic Sithasanan, who has led the Malaysian operations of Jobstreet since 2021, will step into the role of Managing Director (MD) for Jobstreet in Singapore. Meanwhile, Nicholas Lam, previously the Regional Head of Growth and Monetisation for Asia at SEEK, has been appointed as the new MD for Jobstreet in Malaysia.

These appointments have been announced by SEEK, the parent company of online employment marketplaces Jobstreet and Jobsdb.

In their roles respectively, the newly-appointed MDs are to lead the business growth and operations in Singapore and Malaysia, leveraging Jobstreet’s presence of over 25 years to drive continued expansion and market leadership.​

Over his three-year tenure as MD of Malaysia, Vic (featured above, left) has been credited with doubling the revenue of the business in the country, as well as establishing partnerships with employers across various sectors. Prior to joining SEEK, Vic held senior leadership roles in digital technology businesses across Asia.

Excited about his new chapter in Singapore, Vic said: "The opportunities in this market are immense with Singapore being one of the leading business and talent hubs not just in the region, but in the world. I look forward to leveraging my experience to drive our strategic vision forward while delivering value to talent and employers in the country."

Stepping into the role of MD for Malaysia, Nicholas (featured above, right) first joined SEEK in 2018, where he set up and led the regional customer experience and service operations functions across SEEK’s six Asian markets. Prior to SEEK, Nicholas held senior leadership roles in the media industry and worked as a management consultant.

Calling it an "incredible privilege" to step into his new role, he said: "Working alongside our talented team in Malaysia, I’m excited to engage directly with job seekers and employers to drive impactful changes in the job market."
