Exciting times lie ahead, as the HR leader looks forward to enhancing the employee experience to establish an employer of choice for top talent.
Ogilvy Singapore has announced the appointment of Sharon Ooi (pictured above) as the new Chief Talent Officer for Singapore and Malaysia. Reporting to Sue Olivier, Chief People Officer, Ogilvy Asia Pacific, and Kunal Jeswani, CEO of Ogilvy ASEAN, Ooi will lead all people-related functions across both markets.
A strong advocate for positive employee experiences, she will work closely with business leaders to drive the agency’s culture while ensuring Ogilvy remains a destination of choice for top talent.
Sue Olivier commented on Ooi's new role, “The promotion of Sharon to Chief Talent Officer for Singapore and Malaysia recognises her outstanding leadership, unwavering commitment to our talent team, and her transformative impact on our Ogilvy culture.”
Kunal Jeswani added, "She has an exceptional ability to lead leaders. And her passion for building positive, engaging work environments will spread across everything we do in Singapore & Malaysia."
Ooi brings over 20 years of diverse talent management experience across industries, including advertising, brand creative design, IT solutions, logistics, and freight forwarding.
She began her career in advertising at Leo Burnett in 2011, rising to HR Director within six years and concurrently serving as Regional HR Lead for APAC. Following the formation of Publicis Communications in 2016, her responsibilities expanded to include HR Director roles for Saatchi & Saatchi and Prodigious, alongside her Leo Burnett portfolio.
In 2018, she joined Design Bridge Asia, to lead the HR department and expanded her remit to China as part of the senior leadership team. Most recently, at Ogilvy, she has been credited to have elevated the Talent function, which won her and the team the award for 'Agency of the Year Southeast Asia Best Culture' in 2023.
Looking ahead, Ooi is excited about the opportunities her new role presents. “As I step into this new role, I am grateful to Sue and Kunal for recognising my contributions and for their confidence in me.
"Exciting times lie ahead, as I look forward to further enhancing the employee experience, ensuring our workplace is not only a long-term career destination but also an employer of choice for top talent, where our people can thrive and become our strongest advocates to grow with us,” she said.
