Up the ranks: Winnie Leung joins Lanson Place as Head of People & Culture

In her new role, Leung oversees the APAC region, which includes China, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Hong Kong.

Hotel and serviced residences management specialist Lanson Place has announced the appointment of Winnie Leung (pictured above) as Head of People and Culture.

In her new role, Leung oversees the APAC region, which includes China, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Hong Kong.

Leung's primary focus will be on employee engagement and branding. She will look after all aspects of the 'People and Culture' division, organisational structure and design, as well as the entire employee journey from talent acquisition, onboarding, training and development, to compensation and benefits, at both the corporate and hotel/property level.

She reports directly to Michael Hobson, Chief Executive Officer, Lanson Place.

With 15 years of experience across commercial, professional, and financial services, Leung brings a wealth of expertise in business partnering, talent acquisition, and talent management.

Her previous roles include leading people and culture in Southeast Asia and leading talent management for Jardine Restaurant Group. Prior to Jardine, she worked in talent acquisition and business partnering for Cathay Pacific Airways.

When asked about the main talent challenge and opportunity in 2025, Leung identifies talent engagement as a key focus, especially when the business environment is challenging in Hong Kong.

“But it is also an opportunity to review the organisational structure and make changes. We would like to drive performance culture and operational excellence in the industry,” she shares, exclusively with HRO.
