Winning Secrets: Adventus Singapore incentivises high-performers, resulting in a more conducive work environment

Adventus Singapore affirms the initiatives that have helped improve productivity as well as given employees the opportunity to build relationships with their teammates and their managers.

An ICT solutions and services provider, Adventus provides a range of ICT services round-the-clock; from IT support, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity, to cloud, IP telephony, and internet.

At the 10th annual edition of HR Excellence Awards, Singapore in 2022, Adventus Singapore won bronze for 'Excellence in Workforce Mobility’.

In view of this achievement, we catch up with Adventus Singapore on the initiatives that have helped improve productivity as well as given employees the opportunity to build relationships with their teammates and their managers.

Q Congratulations on the achievement! Could you take us through the highs-and-lows of your winning strategy?

Thank you. We are ecstatic and humbled to receive this achievement! In the past year, Adventus has been growing quite rapidly and with that, so has the HR team. As we expand globally, it was an unprecedented task for the team as new policies and SOPs had to be developed and implemented. By working with the HR team across Malaysia, Philippines & Singapore, we managed to recruit more than 100 new employees.

Q How did the HR team identify and align the business & employee needs, and craft out this perfect solution?

We focused on enhancing the productivity of our employees, which will in turn push the company to greater heights. In order to do so, we encouraged managers to build strong relationships with their team to better understand what an employee prioritises and how they can constantly improve not just in a professional capacity, but personally as well. HR facilitates this process by ensuring our managers are given the proper training and advises the different departments on their initiatives. By prioritising our employees as an asset to the company, we create a win-win situation for the company and the team.

Q Could you share the results that your strategy has delivered –be it on the business, HR, or people side?

Collectively, through social events rolled out by the HR team and with policies such as incentive schemes for high-performing employees every month, productivity has been improving and employees have the opportunity to build relationships with their teammates and their managers through said events. This helps in promoting a more conducive work environment.

Q What is your message to all the stakeholders who have supported you in this journey?

I sincerely appreciate all the support and help they have given me and hope they continue to value the talents here with them. From everyone here at Adventus, we would like to say thank you for allowing us to grow with the company as we continue to unlock new achievements together.

Q What are you most excited about when you think about the future of HR?

With new projects lined up such as the implementation of HRMS & ATS systems and expansion into new countries, each of us here in the HR team is constantly sharing & learning new things. I am most excited to be doing this with such a dependable, resourceful, and altogether, amazing team.
