Various offices such as the Selangor State Malaysian Immigration Department, will therefore be closed.
The Selangor State Government Secretary's Office has declared 14 August 2023 (Monday) as a general holiday for the entire state of Selangor, following the 15th Selangor state elections that took place on Saturday (12 August 2023).
In line with the newly-announced public holiday, the Selangor State Malaysian Immigration Department will be closed on 14 August. However, entrances and depots will remain open as usual.
The office will resume operations on 15 August 2023.
The following offices have also announced their closure in conjunction with the public holiday:
- All Negeri Sembilan immigration offices, including Seremban UTC,
- The passport office of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Immigration Department,
- The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) offices in Selangor & Negeri Sembilan,
- The MYXpats Centre (Mutiara Damansara).
