List of Long Term Visit Pass holders who can enter Malaysia without MyTravelPass from 1 Nov

Entry procedures upon arrival in Malaysia are still subject to existing immigration rules in force, as well as health screening and quarantine procedures by the Ministry of Health Malaysia.

Starting 1 November 2021, foreign nationals holding a valid Long Term Visit Pass in selected categories will be allowed to enter Malaysia without the need for approval via MyTravelPass (MTP)/MyEntry.

This was announced by the Malaysian Immigration Department on Thursday (28 October 2021), following a meeting of the Special Committee on Pandemic Management on 22 October.

While this is so, entry procedures upon arrival in Malaysia are still subject to existing immigration rules in force, as well as health screening and quarantine procedures by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH).

The list of Long Term Visit Pass holders allowed to enter Malaysia without having to apply through MTP / MyEntry is as follows:

  1. Diplomats (Exemption Order) / dependents / foreign maids
  2. Employment Pass holders (Category I, II, III) / dependents / foreign maids
  3. Resident Pass-Talent (RP-T) / dependents / foreign maids
  4. Professional Visit Pass holders - Specialists
  5. Professional Visit Pass holders
  6. Permanent Residents (PR) / spouse of PRs / children of PRs
  7. Long Term Pass Holders related to citizens (husband / wife / child)
  8. Senior Citizen Pass holders
  9. Widow / Widow Pass holders of citizens
  10. Students / dependents / Escort Pass holders
  11. Malaysia My Second Home Pass (MM2H)  holders / dependents / foreign maids
  12. Resident Pass holders
  13. Temporary Working Visit Pass (PLKS) holders
  14. Foreign maid (PRA)

The following foreign nationals not mentioned in the categories are still required to apply for approval for entry into Malaysia through the MTP / MYEntry system:

  1. Those entering for social visits;
  2. Holders of expired Long Term Visit Passes;
  3. Those with applications for Employment Pass (Category I, II, III) / Resident Pass-Talent (RP-T) / dependents / foreign maids and Professional Visit Pass-newly approved specialists, and
  4. Short-term business travellers.
