Is this the most Gen Y resignation email of all time?

A young American auditor quit her position at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) through a hilarious, angry and hashtag-filled email to all staff.

The email was forwarded to Gawker, who printed it in full with names redacted, who did some research of their own to determine it was not a fake.

The auditor, named Glory – who has since given an interview with Noir CPA – said she was just “living my truth” at the moment she wrote the email. “I pressed send and I felt so free,” she said.

The email is long (go here to read the whole thing on Gawker) but these are some of our favourite bits:

• “Auditing is a job for people who truly don't have any other options and don't know what else they could be doing. You work day in and day out pulling useless documentation and filling out useless workpapers that won't really benefit anybody. All of it is BS!”

• “Let's keep it real, partners are treated as if they're royalty. The reality is, THEY'RE NOT! They are average Joe's like you and I, only their pockets are a little bigger. So, there is no need to wait at the partner's feet acting like you'll do any and everything to please them.”

• “Trying to get all in people's business...STOP! Everybody isn't an open book and I'm not the type to give you my life story within five minutes as a lot of you in public accounting do. #mindyourbusiness #keepthosenoseyquestionstoyourself #noneofyourbeeswax”

She then went on to attack a number of her coworkers, with LOTS of hashtags to try and get her point across:

• “XXXXXX, I can give two shits about your animals, maids, brother, etc. Is your life really that boring? Then, she (seemingly out of nowhere) goes on to list 10 reasons singer Beyoncé “will kill Britney Spears any day” before signing off with:
