The programme will offer a structured curriculum with core modules and electives focusing on sales and marketing, sustainability, emerging technology, wellness, and service excellence.
NTUC LearningHub (NTUC LHUB) and the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (NATAS) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the NATAS Travel Fair 2024.
As part of this MoU, NTUC LHUB and NATAS will be launching a three-year partnership to create a Certified Travel Professional (CTP) programme, said to be the first in Singapore. Designed for both newcomers and experienced professionals, the programme will include three modules:
- a core module on travel strategies,
- an elective on service excellence, sustainability, or technology, and
- a specialised module in corporate or leisure travel.
This MoU aims to help travel agents adapt to evolving industry demands and enhance resilience, it was stated.
The pilot will begin in March 2025 with 10 learners. NTUC LHUB will manage the modules, and NATAS will issue the certification.
