RM3,000 in assistance extended to Malaysia My Second Home firms inbound-licensed under MOTAC

Interested companies that have not received any financial assistance under the PEMERKASA initiative are to apply for this initiative under PEMULIH, by 10 November 2021.

Through the People's Protection and Economic Recovery Package (PEMULIH), the Malaysian Government has launched several initiatives to assist the tourism sector through challenging times.

One such initiative involves financial assistance amounting to RM3,000, given to Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) companies licensed under the Ministry of Tourism and Culture (MOTAC).

On 2 November 2021 (Tuesday), MOTAC announced that this assistance will be extended, and applications are open till 10 November 2021 (Wednesday). Any application submitted after that date will not be considered.

Applicants should note the following:

  1.  Only MM2H companies that have a Tourist Operation license (inbound) under MOTAC are eligible to receive this financial assistance.
  2. MM2H companies that have received financial assistance of RM3,000 under the PEMERKASA initiative are automatically eligible for PEMULIH assistance, and do not need to apply for this round.
  3. New applications are necessary for MM2H companies that have not received any financial assistance under the PEMERKASA initiative.
    1. Only licensees who are still valid with MOTAC at the time of application are eligible to receive this financial assistance;
    2. Domestic tourist operation (MM2H) business licenses which have expired since 1 January 2020, and operators who have submitted a complete license renewal application with payment for processing fee before or on 10 November 2021, based on the existing License Renewal Guidelines, are eligible for this assistance;.
    3. Domestic tourist handling (MM2H) business licenses that have expired from 31 December 2019, and operators who have submitted a license renewal application within the implementation period of PEMERKASA & PEMULIH 2021 (17 March 2021 to 10 November 2021), are not eligible to be considered for this financial assistance;
    4. Any tourism operating company (MM2H) with an outstanding compound issued by MOTAC under the Tourism Industry Act 1992 [Act 482] or the Tourism Vehicle Licensing Act 1999 [Act 594] is still eligible to receive this financial assistance.
    5. MM2H companies eligible to receive this financial assistance must submit the MM2H PEMULIH form online.
    6. The closing date is set as 10 November 2021. Any application submitted after that date will not be considered.
  4. This RM3,000 Financial Assistance will only be given to the holders of the Headquarters license.

The time taken for aid to be disbursed will vary, depending on the completeness of the information and data provided by the MM2H company, MOTAC stated.

Therefore, applicants are encouraged to submit all information accurately to ensure a quick and efficient process.

The MM2H Programme is an initiative by the Government of Malaysia to attract and allow foreigners who fulfill certain criteria, to stay in Malaysia for as long as possible on a 10-year renewable Social Visit Pass with Multiple-Entry Visa. It is open to all foreigners from countries that have diplomatic relations with Malaysia regardless of race, religion, gender or age.

Permohonan Bantuan Kewangan RM3,000 Di Bawah Inisiatif Pakej Perlindungan Rakyat Dan Pemulihan Ekonomi (PEMULIH) Bagi Syarikat Syarikat Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) Yang Berlesen Di Bawah MOTAC

Kerajaan menerusi Pakej Perlindungan Rakyat dan Pemulihan Ekonomi (PEMULIH) telah melancarkan beberapa inisiatif bagi membantu sektor pelancongan yang merupakan antara segmen yang sangat terjejas dalam tempoh pandemik COVID-19 ini. Salah satu inisiatif berkenaan adalah bantuan kewangan berjumlah RM3,000 kepada Syarikat Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) yang berlesen di bawah MOTAC sebagai pendorong atau kick-start kepada Syarikat Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) yang terkesan dengan pandemik COVID-19.

Mengambil kira Syarikat MM2H yang mempunyai lesen Inbound di bawah MOTAC yang turut terjejas semasa pandemik COVID-19, Kerajaan telah bersetuju untuk memperluaskan bantuan kewangan PEMULIH kepada Syarikat MM2H yang berlesen. Bantuan kewangan ini adalah merupakan bantuan kali kedua kepada Syarikat MM2H di mana Kementerian melalui Inisiatif Program Strategik Memperkasa Rakyat Dan Ekonomi (PEMERKASA) telah memberikan bantuan kewangan RM3,000 kepada syarikat MM2H yang layak.

Untuk makluman, tarikh tutup permohonan telah ditetapkan pada 10 November 2021 dan sebarang permohonan yang dikemukakan selepas tarikh tersebut tidak akan dilayan. Tempoh masa yang diambil bagi proses pelaksanaan penyaluran bantuan kewangan ini adalah bergantung kepada kesempurnaan maklumat dan data yang diperolehi daripada syarikat MM2H. Oleh yang demikian, ketepatan maklumat adalah sangat penting bagi memudah serta melicinkan proses ini.

Kerjasama daripada pihak tuan-tuan dan puan-puan adalah dimohon untuk mengemukakan butiran yang tepat apabila dipohon oleh pihak Kementerian. Ini bagi memastikan penyaluran dapat dibuat dengan teratur. Pengumpulan dan pengemaskinian maklumat ini akan dilaksanakan oleh Pejabat MOTAC Negeri. Jika terdapat pertanyaan pihak tuan-tuan dan puan-puan boleh menghubungi Pejabat MOTAC Negeri yang berdekatan. Kerjasama pihak tuan-tuan dan puan-puan dalam perkara ini adalah amat dihargai.
