Thailand's ranking comes closely behind New Zealand, Greece, and Italy, which take the first three places, respectively.
Thailand has secured fourth place as the world’s most beautiful country, according to the U.S. News and World Report.
Per a media release by the Thai Public Relations Department, a total of 87 nations were a part of the rankings, and Thailand's ranking comes closely behind New Zealand, Greece, and Italy, which take the first three places, respectively.
This ranking was determined by global survey of respondents who evaluated the scenic and picturesque qualities of the countries they had visited.
The ranking highlighted Thailand as follows: “Buddha figures are ever-present in the ‘land of smiles,’ where bustling, modern cities are juxtaposed with ancient ruins, glistening beaches, and gilded temples.
"The nation is home to the acclaimed Thai massage and cuisine that is known to balance sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and spicy flavours.”
In the first half of 2024, Thailand has earned several prestigious tourism accolades from major agencies.
For instance, CEOWORLD magazine ranked Thailand as the number one destination to visit in a lifetime.
Further, Bangkok received the DestinAsian Readers’ Choice Award for the “Best City” in the Asia-Pacific region, and Maya Bay secured fifth place in the Global Beach Awards by BeachAtlas.
