Up the ranks: Meet Citi's new Senior Vice President of HR - Learning & Culture, Gautam Duggal

In this new role, his main priority for this year would be to "think global and simplify", he shares with HRO.

Citi has appointed Gautam Duggal (pictured above) as Senior Vice President of HR - Learning & Culture, supporting global functions across the JANA, Asia South, and MEA Clusters. Duggal continues to be based in Mumbai, India as he reports to the Head of Learning International East. 

Coming from his immediate past role as Director Global People Strategy & Business Partnering at Mastercard, Duggal shared with HRO that his main priority for this year in his new role would be to "think global and simplify."  

"This is closely knit with Citi's way of working, to win in the digital world we have to streamline and this is my personal guiding mantra in the new role," he said. 
 
Additionally, Duggal also shared that he is prepared to work with his team to build a high-performing culture that is passionate about their clients’ success in the current fast-paced world. This will be a vision that will be placed at the forefront as he believes that it will be crucial in tacking challenges in the everchanging business environment.
