A day in the life of: Noppadol Chaiwong, HR Director, BevChain Logistics

At the beginning of each day, he looks forward to initiating something out of the box. Fast forward to the end of the day, and he's all charged after a daily 5km run. Meet Noppadol (Kenny) Chaiwong, HR Director, BevChain Logistics, who tells us about his daily routine, his support system and more, in this interview with Priya Sunil.

Q What do you look forward to each day?

My daily passion is to think and initiate something which is out of the box, by saying that it is not the dream, but it is the reality that I believe I can achieve.

Q What’s on today’s task list at the office?

Early morning, the priority is to talk with our country leader on our regular subject matters. Then, I spend about 30 - 40 minutes with the team, updating and planning what we are going to do each day/week. Throughout, I keep connecting with the leaders, team members and people.

Q What’s for lunch, and who do you typically spend lunchtime with?

Normally, I go out with the HR team and sometimes with others to the local street food stalls. I love having the crispy pork with jasmine rice. Now, it is very convenient while working from home, that my lunch is sushi (I guess five pieces are enough for me so I can control my weight).

Q Back to work: what’s on the agenda, and how do you manage your time?

One part of my work is always the people agenda that I need to handle professionally. I have my daily notes and prioritise what the key task/activities are that I've to complete. Everyone acknowledges my morning messages before 9am each day. In the afternoon, if I have some time, I enjoy researching and going through business and HR articles.

Q Who comprises your support system at work? Give them a shoutout!

"Of course, everyone at work. They are sincerely supportive of our programme. More importantly, I never forget to thank our country and functional leaders."

Q How do you re-charge for the next working day ahead?

Before leaving for home, I make a summary of my work and plan for the next day. Then, I close all my work windows and start on my exercise, running 5km. My battery is full again for the next lively day.
