Azimuth, a Jacksonville-based regulatory compliance technology provider catering to US state and federal law, has set up shop in Gurugram, India in early May 2023. Leading the India operations is former bank executive Avtar Monga, in the role of Strategic Advisor to the CEO.

Bringing industry knowledge from his over 40 years of banking experience, Monga looks forward to growing the company’s global presence and cultivating the next generation of leadership and innovation in India. He said: "Managing complex regulatory issues is a global problem that requires global talent. I look forward to supporting that effort on behalf of Azimuth."

Previously, Monga was the Chief Operating Officer at IDFC First Bank. Prior to that, he was at Bank of America (BofA), where he was responsible for running its Global Delivery Center of Expertise, spending a collective 26 years with BofA. As part of GE Capital's India management team, Monga led its Transport Financial Services business as CEO. He also served as CEO of GE’s State Bank of India Card Business Processes Management Services.

Recently marking its fifth year in business, Azimuth is led by Founder and CEO, Rohin Tagra. Speaking on the company's growth story, he said: "Our India office will further our initiatives and build onto our global strategy, supported by one of the industry’s top executives. With his decades of experience, Avtar will be invaluable as Azimuth continues to see strong demand for its revolutionary solutions."

With the introduction of new services and increased demand from customers, Azimuth plans to further expand its team.
