Foreigners entering Malaysia required to submit Malaysia Digital Arrival Card from 1 Dec 2023

This new requirement applies to all foreigners except certain groups including Singapore citizens and Thailand Border Pass holders.

As of 1 December 2023, foreign nationals are required to complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) prior to arrival in Malaysia.

According to the Immigration Department of Malaysia, all foreigners are required to submit their Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) before arriving in Malaysia, except:

  1. All citizens of Singapore;
  2. Holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports;
  3. Malaysian Permanent Residents and Malaysian Long Term Pass Holders;
  4. Brunei Common Certificate of Identification (GCI);
  5. Holders of Brunei Malaysia Frequent Traveler Facility;
  6. Thailand Border Pass Holder, and
  7. Indonesian Cross Border Pass (PLB) holders.
