Kedah, Penang, Perak, Perlis, and Sabah move to Phase 4 of NRP, effective 8 Nov

With these moves, Kelantan and Sarawak are now the only two states remaining in Phase Three.

Effective today (Monday, 8 November 2021), the following Malaysian states will transition to Phase Four of the country's National Recovery Plan: 

  • Kedah
  • Penang
  • Perak
  • Perlis
  • Sabah

This move comes following a meeting of the COVID-19 Pandemic Management Special Committee on Friday, and based on risk assessments made by the Ministry of Health and National Security Council, Senior Minister of Defense Hishammuddin Hussein said.

With these moves, Kelantan and Sarawak are now the only two states remaining in Phase Three.
