Malaysians crossing the Malaysia-Singapore border by any form of transport will be able to use QR codes for immigration clearance next year.
According to The Star, Home Affairs Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said this will be implemented in phases. In that vein, the minister also shared that a decision on continuing the use of QR codes will be finalised this year, following the outcome of the ongoing currently in a proof-of-concept period for bus passengers and motorcyclists, which will last from 1 June to 30 November 2024.
