As part of outplacement support, an SPH Media Spokesperson said the company is offering severance packages aligned with tripartite guidelines, along with career coaching, job placement assistance, and counselling services.

SPH Media’s technology division is set to lay off 34 employees as a result of job redundancies, the company said on Monday (4 November 2024).

In a statement to HRO, an SPH Media spokesperson said: "To remain competitive and sustainable amidst the changing media landscape, SPH Media has restructured its technology team. This includes streamlining its operations and resourcing across different technology functions.

According to the SPH Media spokesperson, the organisation will be providing support for employees affected by the layoffs, offering severance packages aligned with tripartite guidelines, along with career coaching, job placement assistance, and counselling services to ease the transition.

"This decision follows careful consideration and an exploration of various alternatives, with SPH Media remaining committed to assisting impacted employees as they navigate their next steps," the spokesperson shared.

Per an article by The Business Times, the technology division will be restructured into three broad departments effective 5 November 2024 (Tuesday):
