Up the ranks: Rumana Rahman now leads FedEx's HR strategy across APAC as Vice President HR

Rumana comes with experience shaping workplace culture, driving talent strategies, and fostering inclusivity across diverse markets.

Rumana Rahman (pictured above) has stepped into the role of Vice President Human Resources, APAC at FedEx, effective March 2025. Based in Singapore, she will oversee the HR strategy across Asia Pacific, including China, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore, covering a base of 28,000 employees.      

Speaking to HRO, Rumana shared that this new role, she reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, FedEx, and will play a pivotal role in advancing the ‘One FedEx’ journey — a transformation initiative aimed at fostering a unified HR strategy and operations across the region.

Rumana brings a wealth of experience in shaping workplace culture, driving talent strategies, and fostering inclusivity across diverse markets, and most recently served as Regional Head of Talent, Culture, and Inclusion for APMEA at British American Tobacco.
