HR practitioner appointments

South32 welcomes Ben Thomas Adams as principal talent acquisitionBen has taken up his role as principal talent acquisition at South32 in January. Most recently, he worked as head of talent acquisition for Chiyoda Corporation. Adams has international experience within both internal and external recruitment operations in the industries of oil and gas, mining, IT, banking and finance. In his new role, he will be responsible for developing a talent acquisition strategy that encompasses South32 values, expertise and vision.

Asma Abdullah is HRBP at Bumi ArmadaStarting in January, Asma Abdullah has taken up the role of HR business partner at Bumi Armada. Prior to joining the company, Abdullah worked at RHB Bank for six years, in the roles of team leader, recruitment, and HR business partner. She began her career in HR as a staffing consultant at Careerxcell back in 2008. She continues to be based in Malaysia.

Bonnie Cheng is now senior recruiter, ratings lead at S&P GlobalBonnie Cheng has been promoted to senior recruiter, ratings lead at S&P Global. She has taken up her new role starting this January. Cheng joined the company in 2015 as a recruitment manager, working onsite with Allegis Global Solutions. She has over ten years of experience in the HR industry. Previous employers include Deutsche Bank and Robert Half Hong Kong.

Kenny Tam is promoted to people officer at Hong Kong Airport ServicesKenny Tam took up his new position at Hong Kong Airport Services in January. In his new role, Tam's responsibilities include interviewing and the selection of ground staff, onboarding procedures, and payroll calculations. He joined the company in 2015 as personnel assistant. Tam holds a degree in human resources management and began his career as part time human resources assistant at The Peninsula Hong Kong.

Melissa Liu is promoted to HR supervisor at MinisoStarting in January, Melissa Liu is no HR supervisor at Miniso. She joined the company in 2015 as HR specialist & director assistant. She continues to be based in Guangzhou, China.

Shi Min Low is promoted to senior human capital and development executive at Pan Pacific Hotels GroupShi Min Low has taken up her new role within the company starting this January. She joined Pan Pacific Hotels Group in 2013 as human capital and development assistant, and most recently held the position of human capital and development executive. She is based in Singapore.

Disneyland promotes Steve Lee to specialist, human resources servicesSteve Lee has been promoted to specialist, human resources services at Hong Kong Disneyland as of this January. Lee joined the company in 2013 as a human resources assistant and worked his way up the ranks. He holds a degree in business administration and started his HR career as a human resources assistant at A.S. Watson Group.

Ronald Serdoncillo joins Peregrine as recruitment consultantRonald Serdoncillo has joined Peregrine as recruitment consultant as of January this year. He has been working in the recruitment industry since 2011 when he started as a recruitment specialist at Brunel. He continues to be based in Hong Kong.

HR solutions provider appointments

IBM promotes Bryan Balangue to global HR transformation process leadBryan Balangue has been promoted from regional HR program manager to global HR transformation process lead at IBM. In his new role, he oversees the HR transformation of the core HR processes such as onboarding, contracts management, internal talent movement, and probation in-line with the deployment of the global HRIS in more than 20 IBM legal entities in 9 countries in Europe.

Balangue has 15 years of leadership, management, and hands-on experience in strategic HR functions. His key expertise are in the area of recruitment, HR transformation, programs and project management, building meaningful business and external network partnerships, and HR business controls. He continues to be based in Malaysia.

EY welcomes Lauren Bradbury as director, people advisory servicesLauren Bradbury has joined EY as director, people advisory services, starting this January. Most recently, she was client partner at Korn Ferry Hay Group. Bradbury has over 15 years of experience in the field of HR. She has worked in Australia and Singapore, and previous employers include Lloyd Morgan, Hudson, and iSelect. For her new role, she continues to be based in Singapore.

Christine Lim joins INSEAD as director, corporate partnerships, executive educationChristine Lim took up her role as director, corporate partnerships, executive education at INSEAD starting this January. Most recently, she worked as regional advertising manager at Bloomberg Media Group. She continues to be based in Singapore.

Geraldine Tay joins Oracle as human resources manager, employee successGeraldine Tay has taken up her role as human resources manager, employee success, at Oracle starting this January. Prior to joining Oracle, she was head of talent management solutions at Drake International. Tay began her HR career in 2010 as a consultant for Searchasia. She continues to be based in Singapore.

Laurel Harris joins Pathfinder Talent SolutionsLaurel Harris is the new talent acquisition director at Pathfinder Talent Solutions. She took up her new role in January. Most recently, Harris worked at the Savannah College of Art and Design's campus in Hong Kong. She started at SCAD in 2004 as a credential coordinator and worked her way up the ranks to director of human resources. Her new role is based in Hong Kong.

Katrina Wang is now principal consultant at Randstad Hong KongKatrina Wang has joined Randstad Hong Kong as principal consultant. She is a talent acquisition specialist with over 15 years of experience in the APAC region specialising in permanent and contract hires within banking technology. Most recently, she worked as a specialist recruiter for HSBC, onsite with Allegis Global Solutions.

Siti Aishah Md Lassim joins Employee Provident Fund as advisorSiti Aishah Md Lassim has taken up her role as advisor at Employee Provident Fund starting in January. Most recently, she was head diversity and capability programs at TalentCorp. She has over twenty years of HR experience, with previous employers including Accenture and Maybank. She is based in Malaysia.

Agensi Pekerjaan Asia Recruit promotes Imran Lee Tak kin to consulting managerImran Lee Tak Kin has taken up his new role with the company starting this January. He joined in 2013 as senior recruitment consultant. Tak Kin has close to five years of experience in the recruitment industry. He continues to be based in Malaysia.

Hammersonn Asia Pacific promotes Alexis Chaing to principle consultantAlexis Chaing took up her new role within the company starting this January. She joined Hammersonn Asia Pacific in 2013 as associate consultant. She continues to be based in Malaysia.

Saravanan Santara Sagran joins Capita Global as recruitment consultantSaravanan Santara Sagran took up his new role at Capita Global starting in January. He started his recruitment career three years ago when he joined Randstad Sourceright as a sourcing specialist. He continues to be based in Malaysia.

Siti Quraishah Zainuddin is consultant at Recruit ExpressSiti Quraishah Zainuddin has joined Recruit Express as recruitment consultant starting this January. Most recently, she worked at Averis as HR analyst where she was responsible for providing quality HR processing support to the business groups. Zainuddin holds a degree in human resources development and started her HR career as a trainee at Freescale. She continues to be based in Malaysia.
