Online learning platform upGrad has appointed Amit Mehta (pictured above) as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), who willformally assume the role on 8 October 2024 (Tuesday).
Amit previously served in various HR leadership roles at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL). In his new role, he will lead and accelerate upGrad's people strategy globally, driving organisation effectiveness, talent development, and performance management initiatives.
His expertise will play a key role in fostering a culture of innovation and inclusion within the organisation.
Prior to joining upGrad, Amit was heading the HR function for HUL's Home Care division. He also drove strategic talent development and growth interventions as Talent & Organisation Director for Unilever's South Asia markets.
Amit's diverse expertise spans HR business partnership for HUL's sales & marketing functions, strategic advisory as Chief of Staff to the CHRO, and crafting people strategies for Unilever's India, Sri Lanka, and European markets.
